“If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together” is a proverb that leaves out something very important. Who is contained in that “together”?
For years now, I’ve been aware of certain circles, certain groups of people who are connected in the online business space, especially in the writing and publishing space. The same names come up again and again. You know how it is. And I’ve wanted to be part of those circles, to have a place at those tables, and have worked my way toward that, building my own table along the way. From time to time, one of the big names is shown to be sullied. One big leader was revealed to be a bully, and some of his advice is actually quite harmful. Another turned out to be an affiliate for an entity known for its predatory practices—making money from a vampire—a sellout with an integrity issue. Every time that happens, it’s disappointing.
Business can be done ethically, and for those of us who have a conscience, it must be done ethically. Good people deserve to thrive. So creating a network of those good people has been on my radar but not on my t0-do list. Then my friend Kirsten Oliphant posted a link to this book she wrote, and I snagged it. If you believe that good people deserve to thrive, you should get it right now, while it’s just 99¢! Just click this image and go!
You deserve to have great collaborations with wonderful people. Click the image above, read it, and get started. Perhaps you and I can collaborate and make great things.
