If you structure your week so that you can use themed days to write more words and get other tasks done, you can become the productivity powerhouse you always dreamed of being.
What are themed days?
Themed days are days that you focus on a type of task you’ll do. It doesn’t mean that you won’t do other things also. This means designating certain days for certain things. For instance, Tuesdays and Thursdays are buffer days for me. On those days, I make and take calls and handle a variety of other tasks. Those are my “all Zoom all the time” days. Wednesdays are for working on the business rather than in the business. Fridays are content creation days. Saturdays are for household projects with family, Sundays are for rest and more reading than normal, and Mondays are for family time.
In addition to my content creation day each week, I set aside time for some writing every morning. I block off time to sit silently and think, then read and write (not always in that order). Blocking off time to write is a powerful technique to get yourself to write more. Having a chunk of time first thing in the morning, before the craziness of the day starts, is helpful.
Use themed days to write more words
Themes are wonderful tools to use because they give you more control over your schedule. You can use one day and devote the rest of the week to a certain task or project. The days that are scheduled for writing are set aside for that purpose and you can use them whenever you like without regard to how your week is going to go.
There are many ways to write more, but everything begins with learning how to control your time and how to schedule your days. Write down everything on a piece of paper before you go to bed so that you will remember what needs to be done the next day. Write down things you learn before you go to sleep so that when you wake up you can read over what you wrote and gain clarity on what you need to learn. This is the way how to write more words properly.
Learn how to prioritize your work. Prioritize everything first before you start working on anything else. Then, once you know what is the most important thing, go back and organize your work according to priority. This way you will know when something is important enough to work on and when it is not. You will also know when you are wasting your time on doing unimportant tasks.
Planning is the key
Planning can grow your business. When planning your week, you should always use some sort of planner or calendar to set your daily goals and reminders. This will help you keep track of everything. It will also help you know exactly where you are in your work. Make sure you do not leave anything out when planning for how you will use themed days to write more words.
Here’s an example of an ideal week planned out.
These are just some simple thoughts on how to use themed days to write more words. You may want to look into some courses or online software that will show you how to write better. Remember that it is not what you write but how you write it that counts. So, if you are not having any luck with a certain technique, then you should try another one. Keep practicing until you find the right way for you.
