It’s a new year, and time to evaluate. Just as important as a to-do list is your not-to-do list. Cut the things that take too much time or money for the return you’re getting from them. One of the things I’m trimming is the amount of time that goes into blogging.
Business has taken off to the point that I’m too busy to write blog posts on a weekly basis. I set a goal to edit 12 books in 2015. I edited 14 books, one novella, and several hundred pages of other documents. It’s not even January 1st yet, and 2016 already has eight books on the calendar.
The Pareto Principle (aka 80/20 rule) leads me to determine that blogging is not adding much to my bottom line, and it takes up an inordinate amount of time. Yes, a few clients have come to me because of it, but most come from happy clients referring new people to me. Making clients happy is a better use of my time.
I’ll still post from time to time, but I won’t try to get a post out weekly. As always, you’re welcome to contact me at any time! Email Jennifer at HarshmanServices.com or contact me on facebook. Blessings in all you do!
