Losing weight, for writers, can be extremely difficult. We sit all day long to do our work. A sedentary life is a dangerous one, the experts tell us. I don’t need to repeat the stats. You know weight loss is a struggle for anyone, especially people who live at their writing desk.
Many of us eat lunch or even dinner at our desks, and most foods that are conducive to being eaten at a computer are . . . let’s just say not the most healthful foods. At best, we might manage a sandwich with some grapes or other nonsticky finger foods. I know you’re not going to see me risking my keyboard with a spoonful of bone broth moving over it.
Watching an amazing weight loss journey
A few years ago, I watched a friend who worked in insurance (another “live at your desk” job) go through an amazing transformation, losing more than 100 pounds. When I say, “I watched,” what I really mean is that I gave him the side eye with envy. Thanks to some medical conditions I have… yeah. I did not like to see people doing something my body made impossible for me. So I tried not to look.
Alan Thomas kept going.
And going.
Every photo of him showed him a little bit slimmer. And his wife joined him.
Gradually, I moved from envy to being proud of them both and cheering them on.
Then I watched Alan help others do the same thing he had done.
He helped the woman who at the time was my project manager, so I saw his work up close.
Online training: losing weight for writers
A couple of years after that, when he asked me if I’d like to do an online training with him, one on losing weight for writers, I said yes instantly. I didn’t need to know the details of how the call would go because I had seen the results he helps people get.
You can access the recording of that online training at the link below for free. Just you in the privacy of your own home, no pressure to buy anything. The title says it all: Transform My Future. Click the link. Learn something. Best wishes!
