Do you want to write (or write more) but find yourself stuck? Life and all of your responsibilities get in the way of your writing. Before you know it, another year has passed, and you still haven’t completed your book or other project. If you’re like most of the people who come to me for coaching, you haven’t gotten very far on it, either—or you haven’t even started.
Maybe time isn’t your biggest hurdle. Maybe you just don’t know where to start. There are thousands of resources out there, but you don’t know which one to trust or which steps to take. So you don’t make any progress because you can’t get going on your own.
Either way, that’s okay! You’re in the right place because what I do is meet you where you are, take you by the hand, and walk you through the process step by step and page by page. I’ll help you carve out time in your schedule for writing and help you know exactly what to write each time you sit down. No more writer’s block!
Why group coaching for writers?
Some people love one-on-one coaching, but others prefer group coaching. It is more affordable and more social, and it comes with lower pressure and cost. One of my clients told me that one-on-one coaching could feel like too much pressure. If she showed up without having her writing done, she’d feel guilty and think she was wasting money, but in the group coaching program, if she didn’t have her writing done, it would be fine. Although people can share their writing if they want to, there’s no pressure to share. She could learn from any sharing and all of the questions and answers, so no matter what, it would be simple to learn and grow at every session.
My name is Jennifer Harshman, and I’ve been helping people with their writing for most of my life. Teachers, librarians, business owners, new writers, and even bestselling authors have come to me to help them overcome problems and produce more and better writing.
As a freelance editor for several publishers and dozens of independent authors, in the last 10 years, I’ve edited more than 200 books and countless blog posts and articles. See a few of them at Books Edited by Jennifer Harshman.
Making a difference, participating in getting more of the helpful writing out into the world where it can do more good . . . that is what I live for. A group coaching program makes my help accessible to more people. It simply makes sense.

To make sure everyone gets what they need, we’re keeping each “chapter” or group small. Each group coaching for writers chapter meets weekly on Zoom for an hour. If a member can make it to every call, great. If not, no worries—sometimes life interferes. They’ll just catch us next time.
The program is ongoing, which means that it’s not a finite, “six weeks and it’s over” kind of thing. Members get access to it for as long as they want it.
When asked what the value of such a resource is, the answer that people gave most was “hundreds of dollars per month.” It’s not that much, though. That’s what I charge for my one-on-one coaching. The goal is to help more people, so the group-coaching programs have a smaller price tag: $100/mo.
