“Choose your own adventure” books were all the rage when some of us were in school. The books disappeared from the book fair carts and library shelves as quickly as they were loaded. I personally found them to be fabulous in theory and not always so hot in the execution. Most of them left me disappointed in the author, although even as a kid, I realized that there is only so much an author is allowed to do when they’re working with a traditional publishing house. Still, the books were popular despite any shortcomings, and some readers just had to go back and choose each different path, just to see what each held.
Whether while reading these books or when facing life in general, you have choices, and each decision will lead you further down the path you’re on or take you in a different direction.
