Nick Pavlidis, podcaster, entrepreneur, and author of Confessions of a Terrible Husband: Lessons Learned from a Lumpy Couch, has been a client of Harshman Services since early 2017, but we met online years ago on a forum for entrepreneurs. The first thing I saw of Nick was his logo, next to a post he had written on that forum. I knew from the moment I saw that logo that he was someone I wanted to meet and become friends with. You’re familiar with the saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words,” right? Well, the logo was made from a picture. It was a stick-figure drawing that one of his kids drew for him, and it said quite a bit to me.
It was adorable, and even though most parents would never dream of using their child’s drawing as their logo, Nick did, with aplomb. It was clear that he had guts, was a great dad, and he was authentic. Just from seeing that one image, I knew I’d feel honored to develop any kind of online acquaintanceship with him.
We ran in the same circles for years before he hired me to help him with his writing. If I have my way, we’ll be friends and colleagues until we die.
If you aren’t friends with Nick Pavlidis yet, you’re missing out. Nick is not only funny and fun to be around, but he is one of the most down-to-earth, helpful people I know (and I know a lot of down-to-earth and helpful people). Listening to his podcasts is a good way to start getting to know him, and so is reading his writing. Just click the book below.
When you meet Nick Pavlidis, go ahead and tell him Jennifer Harshman sent you.
