Several people have asked me to do book reviews. Readers are looking for book reviews before they spend their hard-earned money or their scarce free time on books, and that makes total sense. Because I have read so many books in my lifetime, and I read an average of a book a day, who better to help readers with that?
It’s important to listen to your audience, and to give them what they ask for. If we listen, they will tell us what they want. So, because so many of you have asked me to review books, that’s what you’ll receive. I’ll put the individual reviews in blog posts and link to them from this page to save you time. Please bookmark this page now, so it will be easy for you to get back to it any time you want to check for more reviews.
What kind of books will I review? I read mostly nonfiction, and the reason why is to help me with increasing my business knowledge and serving others, but I will read and review fiction books here, too, if authors send me a copy to review. It’s easier to list what I won’t review than to list what I will: no smut. What we put into our minds has great influence over our lives, and I don’t need any more smut or undue violence in mine, and I imagine others don’t, either.
Authors, if you’d like to have your book reviewed, please send a review copy to P. O. Box 121, Seneca, IL 61360 or email electronic versions to Jennifer at Harshmanservices.com Please note that sending a copy for review does not guarantee a favorable review. All book reviews will be honest, regardless of whether I purchased a copy, checked it out from the library, or received it from an author or publisher. Book reviews will be written for the typical reader, and will contain as little jargon as possible.
